The new Motor Oil Matters program has one main goal: to make sure that consumers receive high-quality oil. This happens by maintaining a secure chain of custody for motor oil from oil marketer to distributor to installer to vehicle.

None of this could have been possible, however, without the vision and leadership of Shell. In 2009, they started the Motor Oil Matters program in an effort to educate the public about the importance of high-quality motor oil and ensure the chain of custody.
